Release template

A product update, linked to what changed.

Who it is for

For software and services with something new: a version, a feature, a faster checkout. The bar names the change in a few words and links to the release notes, so people who care can read more and everyone else can close it. Change the version in the Studio with each release.

What visitors see

Its line
“Version 2.4: a faster checkout.”
Its button
“What changed”

Then add it to your site

One line, pasted once, puts it on every page. Step by step for HTML, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix and Next.js.

Questions

Something else? Write to us.

Will it push my page down?

Only if you choose Push it down. By default it sits over the edge and nothing moves. A header you fix to the top follows it with top: var(--widgetjoy-top-offset, 0px).

Does a closed bar come back?

Not for that visitor, until you publish again.

Can I schedule it for a sale?

Yes. Give it a start and an end; outside them, it is not shown.

Will it slow my site down?

No. It loads after your page has appeared.
